Description

EDIT: fixed up the greenish hues on the horse, lowered the blurriness of the background, and added more shadow for the horse.

I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up

'Cause even the stars they burn
Some even fall to the earth
We've got a lot to learn
God knows we're worth it
No, I won't give up

Layout for Lynelle on Horseland.
Originally planned as a layout, but I need some stock provider's permission yet so I'm not sure how it's going to go. xD
Anyways, I'm not sure what I think of this piece anymore - I had a great idea in my head, though it didn't turn out quite like that. I planned to have the horse watching some fish jumping out of the water, sort of like a different life he could've had. Lynelle requested no fish though, flowers instead, so here you go. (:

I did a lot more painting on the horse than normally, tried to keep it a little sharper rather than so blurred and smudged. Not really satisfied with the tail either, but I like how the rock and background all fit together. ^^

Please comment or critique if you have time!

This is gorgeous! I really like the blues and greens, great color scheme. Lovely details on the horse and the flowers.

This may be a silly question, but I haven't used Photoshop in quite a while, and am wondering how you give the land the sort of painted look? I like photomanips like this, that look like a painting all over. Do you actually paint on the background too?
