Description

This is NOT stock. You are NOT allowed to use this, sell it, or claim it as your own!!! I will add a huge watermark if needed.

Prize commission for *XxDEFINEDxX Hope you like it!
If there are any changes you'd like let me know. ^^

The theme had to do with fading away, at least i figured, so I added a little snake in the background. He's barely visible.
The trees are a nice touch I think, as well as the rose (which is, like, the second main subject of the image next to the horse. xD)

Other than that, there's not much to say..go ahead and critique if you want.

wow, this piece is beautiful! all of the images you've chosen work so well together, especially the horse.

The first thing i noticed is the lovely light shining down from the sky. Although, i feel as though the lighting on the horse could be improved a bit. What i'd do, is take a hard round brush and paint on (it doesn't matter if it's messy!) a blob of lighting into the horses back. Then go to Filter >> Blur >> Gaussian blur and turn the slider up to anything between 70 and 100, depending on the image. After that, clip this layer to the horse layer. You can then fiddle around the the blending modes (Overlay and Soft Light sometimes produce good effects) and the opacity. This is how i do my lighting, but this technique takes a bit of practice.

One thing i love is that little rose in the ground. to improve it even more, though, i'd probably fade away some parts of it's outline a little bit (with a soft eraser on 20% opacity) to soften the effect. the rose should also be casting a small shadow on the ground, too.

I just noticed the snake in the background! It's a lovely addition, although he's barely visible, possibly a little too faded.

the birds looks absolutely perfect, you know how much i love birds in manips. the quote also looks brilliant, and is in an excellent spot, color and font.

Onto the horse! He looks brilliant, and i love the scruffiness of his hair. the eye is gorgeous, and so is the outline! he'd look lovely with some face definition, so you could probably have a go at that.

Overall, it's a lovely piece from you - you're definantly improving, that's for sure! keep up the awesome work!
