cute sensation

Ok, this is the first critique I ever wrote, but I want to try on this nice photo here, forgive me if it doesn't fit the form of more experienced critique writers.

First of all, I think the pose the little kitten is in is great. It is really cute how she is looking into the camera (or into the viewers face), with he little paws in front of the face. You got the pose pretty much perfect and I like the photo very much, this got you 5 stars on Impact. Vision is argueable on this photo, can't really say much about it here, so I gave you the average rating of what I gave total. It is 4,5 stars on originality, because I am sure I have seen a photo like this before, but I can't clearly remember any and even if it is a pose we have seen before it is very well done, maybe better then the ones I have seen before.

Ok, now there are 4 stars in Technique. 4 stars is a good rating I assume and others may be stricter when it comes to give high ratings, bute I will explain how I decided:
For a very nice photo (like this is) I would give you 5 stars if there is nothing to improve. On this photo first of all I would take out the stains on the top right side, not sure if it is dirt in the kittens hair or on the camera, but either way you can edit this with Photoshop's spot healing brush, just be careful to not overdo it. The other thing is the lighting which could be better. Judging by the reflections in her eyes (which can also be edited with Photoshop, but that's up to you if you want that) you had some small spotlights and maybe a flash? I don't have one myself, but a flash diffuser could have created a better overall lighting without the washed out forehead and I think the background would have been blurred a bit more too. With a diffused flashlight the kitten could be better seperated from the background.
So yeah, thats the other thing...the focus is hard to criticize, you have sharp focus on her nose, the paws and further back part of the head are less sharp, which is fine, but I kind of wish to see a bit more detail in the hair and on the paws.
