Casha

I am going to start a manip series just for fun. It is all made up. It's called Horse of Carsha.Carsha is a made up island in the middle of the sea.
This is Casha, my first character. She have a nice shiny coat, and a bushy tail. She does have a foal, that will probably be my next character. Casha has ice green/blue eyes.
I was messing around with this...useing my new graphic program!! I really like how I could put the grasses in front of her legs...
I do need some help though with my program. Does anyone know how to make a horse look fantasy like with Photoshop? And how to make their mane+tail look stringy?
